  1. Depends how it was maintained, and driven previously. But sounds reasonably priced.

  2. No, this is a terrible deal.  It's way too much money for the high milage the car has.  It's used up already.  You'd soon start to have major problems with it.  Any car that has 1000000 miles on it is not a good deal for any amount of money.

  3. As most people mentioned before, Acura's are great cars. But I don't think anyone mentioned the issue with the transmission on this particular model.

You should avoid '99-'03 Acura TL's if possible. They had serious problems with the automatic transmission. Acura/Honda gave owners something called the "jet kit" to help resolve the problem but it's just a temporary solution.

To make a long story simple and short, the transmission wasn't getting enough oil and needed more lubrication. These trannies died left and right.

Also, they provided a 100k mile warranty along with the "jet kit" I believe. The one you're looking at is well past 100k miles so the warranty is gone.

But more importantly, I wouldn't pay anywhere near $10k for a car with that many miles.

No matter what car it is, once it's past 100k miles or more, it'll start to have some issues. Next thing you know, it'll be a money pit.

  4. we found it is worth it to buy a new car.  Our used car we bought a long time ago and our new car payments were close to the same price

with a new car, we don't have to worry about previous owners/problems.

  5. Those are very good cars, but from my experience I would not buy any vehicle with that many miles, thats the kind of miles that cars will nickle and dime you and those parts are very expensive.I know because I bought a Acura with lots of mileage and I would never do it again. The first thing was the transmisssion and it cost over three thousand to fix it.Then it was the alternator which cost three hundred, the oil pump went bad and we dumped it.

  6. First I would ask the person your buying off of to show the mainaice records and see if it's been took care of good and if so then I would have someone that knows cars go with you and inspect it if everythings good I'd go for it Acuras are great cars and fun to drive. If you the owner your buying off of can't prove the records I would probably still go look at it but I would be much more cautious becasue that's a lot of miles for that to be a 2003 model so hope this helps

  7. NO! don't buy it. That's WAY too many miles to dump that kind of money into.  Look for something with less miles.

  8. The value of that car is roughly $7000, they also tend to have lots of transmission problems so I'd definitely recommend to avoid that.

  9. Not unless you have more money for repairs> The front wheel drive is about gone with that many miles> Keep looking there must be better deals with low mileage on it>

  10. no, offer them 9500, that is a lot of miles,

that's more than 30,000 per year.

    however acura's are good cars.

  11. It is an Acura, but that is sure a lot of miles.  For something of that sort I would think about $10K  would be a little more reasonable.  If you could get it down a half a G or so, then it sounds like a somewhat-decent deal.

  12. Acuras are expensive to fix, and at 156K you can bet there are going to be some minor to major repairs coming up, so I'd keep that in mind before you buy.  I'd keep looking or see if you can talk the owner down to somewhere around 9 grand for it.  Before you buy, consider the cost of maintenance and repairs and whether or not you can afford to keep the vehicle on the road.

Also, bear in mind that if this is a turbo vehicle, it's going to burn more fuel, which these days is a very valid concern.

Here's something I looked up for you, from http://www.edmunds.com, the true cost of ownership on an '03 Acura 3.2 tL. :

(I used my own zip code, so you might want to change this according to where you live.)

    Hope this helps! ♥

  13. Sounds like a pretty good deal. You can be sure that the 156k miles were mostly highway as its a somewhat new car (03) + its an Acura, cheap and reliable.

  14. no watch it blow up in your face.
