  1. Pour on a bit of peroxide. Then, Neosporin Cream With Pain Reliever (not ointment too messy on the feathers)

It is a tossup of whether it will die or live. If it lives, you can get a cheap cage and keep it until it is well to go back outside. I've lost about half that I've rescued, but I've recently sent two young birds back to outdoors healed.

Call pet stores and find one which has experience raising cockatiels or parrots. They can guide you on what to get to feed the baby depending on it's type.

Or you can contact your local wildlife society and they will sometimes care for an injured bird or give you instructions.

  2. Put it back where you found it and let nature take its course.

  3. The bird will die without antibiotic treatment..cats carry a lot of bacteria in their saliva and infection will set in quickly. Look for rehab near you here..they can treat the bird and get it released back into the wild if at all possible.

I would also advise you to keep your cat indoors where it cannot contribute to the decline and endangerment of native wildlife.

  4. Give it back to the cat.  The bird will stop suffering and the cat will be full.  It's a win-win.

  5. You need to clean the wound. Just use peroxide.

Youll also need to find some worms and mash them up into a paste to feed it properly. It wont take seed until its 6 weeks old.

  6. take it to the vet quick!!!!!!!!!!
