I found a baby bug in my room! its an inchworm, could..?

could my room be infested with inchworms? i found a baby inchworm on a piece of white paper, it was small and is the color of my carpet (tanish). VERY SMALL. how do i know if theres more? how did an inchworm get to the 2nd floor of my house? the paper had been in my room for months (in a draw bottom stack.

Take it outside and put it in the grass. I doubt if you have more, it probably just came in your clothes. Please don't kill it.

An inch worn could have hitch hiked into your room on your clothing. It could have wandered into your room through some small opening.

But inch worms are totally dependent on vegetation. It can wander around only a while before it starves in your room.
