Hello, I was outside with my cousins and we saw a baby cat walk past us, it's a nice blondish cat with beautiful blue eyes. We felt bad, so we gave it some milk. So we left it outside and went in.. and we noticed it wouldn't leave and kept on meowing.. so we went outside again to play with it. I live in the basement with my parents (I'm 16 years old) && the owners are my grandparents who don't even want me to keep it cause it might give out "lice". I think it's trained because it goes to the dry grass or dirt section and digs out dirt.. then it poops, and then it covers up its p**p again with the dirt. Should I keep it? Ohh btw, my father does NOT want to take it to the vet, he hates cats too. :(

Please help, I love the cat.

  1. A vet appointment... maybe $30?  You can call around.

If neither your parents nor the neighbors want it, bring it to the local humane society.  Kittens get adopted quickly.

  2. awww keep it!

  3. it is fleas not lice the medicine is only 6 bucks to remove the fleas just rinse it off well or u can get a flea comb cheap then ask if u can keep it if not give it to the spca they take good care of them and never "put down" kittens

  4. First you should ask your neighbors if they know who it is. Then if no one takes owner ship, you can always have animal control come and pick them up.

  5. the best thing for the cat is for you to put an ad in the paper and give it to someone who can keep it indoors and take it to the vet when needed and have it spayed or neutered. Or take it to the humane society or some other no kill shelter so it can be adopted to a nice family, i volunteered for the humane society, they do not euthanize the animals unless they are too sick to be helped, or too agressive and are not adoptable for these reasons.

  6. The cat meows at you because it probably has no one else. Take care of it while you can, until maybe someone else can give it a nice home.

A vet appointment shouldn't cost much, maybe $20? Call your local vet and find out. Do a nice deed for the kitty. You'll get good karma.

  7. people don't pick their pets , pets pick their people , sounds like you got adopted now give your parents an I need this to teach me how to be responsible speech and see how it goes . good luck ,

no he cant come live at my house thanks to my kids we have four now .

  8. well first off that cat really should be takin to the vet soon.very soon.because most likely it has fleas.you should go to the pet store nearest you and buy a flea comb.shampoo.&collar until you go to the vet.where i live (yonkers) it costs $40 for a check up.& $80 for a shot.

p.s. you need to make an appointment first.
