I found a bug in my home and am not sure what it is. It's about the size of a kidney bean and the same color.

I really would like to know what this bug is. It flies, is a reddish/brown color and is about the size of a kidney bean (that same color almost too). I really would like to know what it is and if I need to be worried. Please no replies of "Oh god you need an externamator" just tell me what it is. Thanks.

It is A June Bug..it is NOT TOO LATE for them..we still have tons around our lights all night..june bug is called june bug for this is when they are most active and start emerging from the soil in the larvae stage becoming adults..lol..UI have never known a bug that will just show up exactly one month..then at the end of the month be gone..lol

I can see you have no idea how many insects fit that description.  It is likely a beetle, too late for a june bug.  But there are many beetles that are perfectly harmless that inadvertently get into our homes.  If you really need to know take a picture and ask again, emphasize  the face and antenna. The size and what state you live in would also help.  With only one you do not need an exterminator..
