Question:

I found a camera?

If you're going to say that I should give the camera to you, then don't answer.

I found a nice Kodak digital camera in a case walking back from tennis courts to the parking by the sidewalk. There's no identification whatsoever so I can't return it to the owner. I considered just leaving it there so the owner could find it, but it's supposed to rain soon and the case isn't waterproof. I've considered keeping it because my digital camera is old and has 3.2 mega pixels, but I don't know if I would feel comfortable using this person's camera. What should I do?

  1. Go to a police station and hand it in.

    That camera is not yours.

  2. i say keep it. how do you know for sure that the person will ever come back and even get it? somebody else might end up getting it and they didnt even find it. posting an ad isnt the best idea cuz somebody could easily lie and say its theirs. this will teach the person who lost it to be more responsible. sorry but thats life. i wish i could find a camera. ure lucky!dont feel bad. atleast you tried to even see if it had identification before just running off with it. consider it your lucky day. and atleast its being used instead of sitting in the sun or getting rained on

  3. I think Classy Chick is on the right page. You should put up some posters or something near the tennis courts and say that you found a camera, give your phone number and like Classy said, make them describe the camera when they call. If there's no building to hang the posters on, just put them up on lampposts, trees, or any other thing you can find. Good luck!

  4. Simple!  Leave a note by the Courts stating you found a camera and provide an e-mail address or your cell phone.  Then when they call ask them to identify the camera.

Its wrong that you keep it!

  5. Keep it, at least it will be being used.

  6. if u want u can keep it,but if u want u can return it back to the

tennis court clubhouse...what if the person reach to the tennis court and inquire whether he left it somewhere near the tennis court

  7. Hand it in to the tennis clubhouse

  8. I think classy chick has a good answer. If the person can identify the camera, and tell you exactly which type it is, then they can prove it is theirs.

  9. turn it in to the tennis club or what not!  and or! if you want to keep it do this first!

post an ad in the local paper for 30 days in the lost and found section!  list your contact info.. don't describe the camera just tell them to describe their camera..

if you list this for 30 days and know one claims it LEGALLY it's yours!

no guilt cuz you made an attempt!
