Hi,

I thought there was mold or spider eggs on one of the bananas I bought at Costco...I put it in a cup of bleach and it turned out to be a cocoon of some sort. It was about an inch long with what looked like would be clear wings...I thought maybe it was a wasp or something similar because it had a really tiny stinger. I thought it had dark stripes too but I took a closer look at the abdomen and saw that it was segmented (like a worm, but with deeper segments). The whole thing was brown. Totally creeped me out. Should I email the USDA or something?
