  1. Weigh the coin.  If it is silver it is worth 50 cents per gram.  If it is copper, it is worth about a quarter.


  2. I doubt it's that valuable. If it is a shilling or florin (wo shillings) it's next to worthless as it was legal tender until a few years ago when they resized the coin. There are hundreds of Edward VII coins around.

  3. Does it have a value marked on it? if not, it could be a medal,  or medallion.
