I found a crack on the stem of my pumpkin will this affect the growth rate ?

the crack is 4mm deep and about 15mm long,it has healed ,any tips or info will great

  1. it might if there isnt enough nutrients getting to the pumpkin. but it might not if it has healed. just water it a lot.
