  1. it is probely around 16 days old if its eyes seem to be glued shut so check out this website...

  2. Don't listen to all the people telling you to take him to a vet. Most vets aren't trained to see wild animals, and you can even get in trouble for having one in your possession.

It sounds like he has either been hit by a car and is suffering internal injury, he's got a disease that is causing him to be sick, or he has gotten in to some poison that is slowly killing him.

You need to put him in a dark place and not mess with him. Then call a local wildlife rehabber or Animal Control and ask them what to do.

Most wild animals I have seen who look like that ended up needing to be put to sleep anyways because they were past saving, but at least you could get him to someone who can give him a chance, or put him to sleep humanely. You need to call ASAP!

And DONT try to keep him.

  3. You need to absolutely bring it to a vet I mean this is a wild animal we are talking about!

  4. wash his eyes with warm salt water and wipe with rag, then take to vet, to make sure it's healthy enough to be raised as pet

  5. call a vet and ask for advice

  6. Oh my god, that's horrible! Poor thing. Go over to the vet ASAP. You have to save it, it's young! And you probably shouldn't keep it. It's a wild animal. And don't listen to the idiot that said "kill it" That's so cruel!

  7. I would call a doctor asap

Make sure the chipmunk is eating and drinking and has enough heat. If he feels cold i might put a lamp near the cage.

I have never taken care of a chipmunk but this is how i took care of my duck when i had her for a week

  8. honestly, its a chipmunk not a pet you should not have picked it up dont call a vet it is a CHIPMUNK! u r just going to have to kill it put it out of it misery, it is not like the chipmunk will be your pet like alvin and the chipmunks! you should put it back in the wild, or whare you found it

  9. It could be a baby so its eyes haven't opened yet watch it for a while to see if they open. If they don't, find a wild animal conservation to give it to. If they do open return it to the wild asap so it doesn't become used to life in a cage and die of starvation because there is no food right next to it. He could also be blind

  10. i think it might be a baby so there eyes are shut but i also think you should keep the chipmunk for another day or two just make sure hes safe and healthy and/or while you are taking care of the animal you could bring it to the vet once in a while so you could check how healthy or not the chipmunk is.  :) good luck:) then when the chipmunk is healthy enough you could bring it back to the wild.
