I found a jug of economy brand milk under my house wondered how old the jug is.?

there was a date of oct 17 but no year to exspire really weird.

if it's in a plastic jug, then you can be fairly sure it dates from no earlier than the 70's.  The other option is to open it and guess it's age based on how bad it smells.
