I found a parrot how can i make him talk?

i found a green parrot with a red mouth in my garden i took him ... but i dont know how to deal with him btw hes male

hes nice

but he doesnt talk at all

and since i took him he didnt hav a shower

how can i make him take a shower and make him talk ?

please help

It will take you months to years to train him slowly, starting with just words. If the parrot is adult, it may never learn

I would probably put an add in the paper somebody who loves that bird is probably looking for him.  Don't list what type it is, just say found bird and have hem identify him.  I would be sick if somebody kept my bird.

give them red chillies in the night in the dark.

put a recorder, or a tape so you can automatically give them lessons.foucs on two or three words at first.

move your lip when talking to the parrot.

alway keep the parrot alone with no other parrot.

it really depends on what kind of parrot it is and if its species  talks

to give him a shower get a clean spray bottle fill it with water and spray it at him he may not like it now but he will get use to it later

You need to give him time and befriend him you also need to try to find his owners if you have not tried already . Birds are very smart and they own us not us owning them it takes time and encouragement. play with him and he will come around. It also could be he is to young to talk yet so you mite want to think about taking him to a vet.  The shower I would try a bowl of warm water and see if he plays in that or if you can pick him up put him next to the sink and play in the water slash it around and act like you are having  fun every now and then maybe slash  it his way but be genital and give him time.  Please if you have not tried to find his owner please do because if it was mine I would be heart broken  not to find her. best of luck!!!!!
