I found a pigeon wandering around at work it has a green rind around its leg?

i did not want to leave it there because there are foxes about so i rang the rspca and they said to take it to a local vet,so i did they wont just put it to sleep will they if its healthy and there is nothing wrong with it

ah nothing to worry about just a homing/racing pigeon its either just came down from a race for a break or got lost in one and anyway it will fly back to its hut when it wants to.

there are pigeon websites that list owners and tag/ring colors. Many owners will have their info on those bands. There is a pigeon rescue site on the web  http://www.pigeon-life.net/

the pigeon you found believe or not is a racing pigeon and they will be able to sent him back to his owner or the club of the person that owns him by this green tag on his leg pigeon racing is very big here in cork city Ireland and it is passable it came from  cork and got lost
