I found a "yellow fly' today...?

Question

i was at work today and saw a yellow fly....a fly that was yellow. I came home and researched it and saw that they have only been found in florida. i am not in florida. How do i report this to my officials so they can research it? they are biting insects and i want to see if our state knows about these.Thanks!
