I found a round table marked with "An American Maple" inside a maple leaf. Does anyone have info on this co.?

The table has a round top, 3 turned spindle legs with a triangular base attached about 6 inches up from the bottom of the legs. The maple leaf and words "An American Maple" look like their engraved into the bottom of the triangular base. I can't find anything on this manufacturer. Any clues?

This merely states what the table is made of, not the manufacturer.  Since many manufacturers label their furniture in this fashion, it would be extremely difficult to determine its origin.  You may try taking the table to an ANTIQUE furniture dealer (NOT a regular retail furniture retailer) for help in determining who actually manufactured this piece.
