  1. How many dead bodies have you found?

  2. find how old the house is. could it have been for the underground railway?

  3. Fred West type thing?

  4. I saw on a TV programme that many New England and New York State houses built around 1920 had quite a number of secret passages. The purpose was for hiding liquor during Prohibition. If you are in New England or New York, I wonder if this is what you've found. The boxes could contain bottles of rye smuggled down from Canada.

  5. Depending on where you live, you may have bought a house that was used in the underground railroad or something.  I would check on the age of the house, that back room was used to hide something.

  6. I wouldnt contact the previous owner until you know the exact contents of the room. If you find $6 million he might claim it was his...

  7. Wooooo spoookiiee.

My mate has a funny lump in his back garden, the landlord says its a bomb shelter from ww2, I'm trying to get him to dig it up to see if there is any cool gas masks or stuff in it.

The only thing is that his garden borders on a church, and he's scared its really a crypt or a grave.

  8. Are you anywhere that may have been part of the Underground Railroad?  And does your home date back to the 1800's?  It would be very interesting to find out the history of the building.

  9. grow weed in there. i have a tunnel in spain on some land i own and i am going to grow weed in it next year.

  10. Oh,thats just where he used to keep his Victims............

Maybe he kept their Heads in the Boxes.

    Sleep Tight.  xx

  11. Carefully read your purchase agreement, if the property is left inyour house more than 30-90 days after closing it is yours. Typical real estate is for "lock, stock, and barrel"  this holds true even if the boxes you found have gold bars in them.  After the time expires thoroughly investigate the boxes, but consult an attorney beforehand.  When you open the boxes, wear protective equipment, gloves, mask and disposable protective clothing (painters paper overalls)  just in case. Any mold and dust can be controlled more easily.    Good luck.

  12. It might be a priest hole. I really, really want to know what's in there now! I wish I lived in a big spooky old house. Let us know what happens. x

  13. You don't say where you live but in some area the homes have crawl spaces, especially in older homes. It is just a way to use space that is created by the floor plan but not paying the cost of making it an interior area of the house. More than likely a former owner utilized it for storage and when they moved they forgot to empty the area. If the house is not real old the local government may have the original floor plans that were filed for the house to be built.

Or....it could be where the previous owner kept the prisoners and stored the dead bodies. :)

  14. Depending on where you live, it could have had something to do with the Underground Railroad during the Civil War era. I'm not sure where you live, but I would research your address in the public records domain, which is usually available at the main library of your city. My grandmother lived in a house that had one of those paths and a room, and it was used to hide slaves from rampant slave owners and to help them to get their freedom. She found all kinds of artifacts in her tunnel a drinking gourd, a baby bunting, shackles, and some clothes that would have been warn by slaves. She went to the public records domain, and found all kinds of interesting history about her house, and when she went to sell it, she got a pretty penny for it too because it was considered a "historical home".

  15. well that's neat.
