I live in Southwest Oklahoma(Comanche county). The snake that I found was black and yellow, in some areas it was black with yellow stripes and then in some areas it looks like it had a diamond effect going alternating between yellow and black. It had a head that was the same shape as a garter snake, but this snake did not have the line down the body. It was about 2-3 ft in length.

  2. This website is dedicated to the snakes of Oklahoma - http://www.oksnakes.org

  3. Well, at least you won't have to worry about rodents..

  4. Okay I suggest that you could call a snakey snake collector person (or a snake and wildlife rescuer) and they can take it away and then if you feel risky and fun then you can get the snake milked (or so the venom comes out and it has no more venom in it) and you can tame it and train it and keep it!

But if you want to keep it then you have to feed it dead rats and mice and rodents.

    Awesome! :D

  5. I Believe that snake is a Marcy's Checkered Garter Snake.

  6. it was probably a garter snake. no need to worry

  7. I am a firm believer in wildlife; however under my porch the only good snake is a dead snake.

  8. Sounds like the typical King snake.
