  1. take him/her deep in the woods or to a pond.that's what he/she would like best.

  2. eek, um if there is a pond or river near by put it there, i'd say give it leaves to eat unless you have turtle food, thats a really hard question

  3. Return it into the wilderness. There are a lot of turtles out there. If it starts to snap, be careful because it would be a snapping turtle. They can bite a finger off in no time. My opinion, better take it outside before anything happens to you or the turtle.

  4. put it back where you found it. not on the road, of course, but around the same area. it will be fine :)

  5. return the turtle in the same area you found it like the others have said.  we cannot tell you more because we don't know what kind of turtle you  have.  you don't need to feed it or house it.  just take it back.  do not put it in a pond, it might be a land turtle.  if it's a water turtle, putting it in the woods is not a good idea.  always return to same area where you found the turtle.  the turtle will continue on its mission.

when you find a turtle in the road, and if you can safely stop to remove it, always take the turtle across the road in the direction it was going.  wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands.  I can't say that enough.  thank you for helping the turtles.
