I found a used car, put $200 to hold it till Thurs. I've never bought a car before what should I ask?

The salesperson won't be in till Thurs. I don't want to get screwed.. Whatt do i need to know and ask?

i hope you are talking about a dealership and even then you should have it examine with a reliable mechanic.

I have personal experience about used cars that I did not buy at a dealer but with persons I knew or where recomended to me.

in both incidents I was robbed blind and had to sell them for peanuts.

so i suggest one way or another be sure you are getting a good deal.

a little late.  if you back-out, they have the right to keep the deposit.

ask for a carfax and arrange to have your mechanic look at the car.

also, knowing the full price and terms would be nice.
