  1. CALL A WILDLIFE REHAB FACILITY.

This bird is protected by Federal law.  It is illegal for you to have it.

IF IT IS WILD LEAVE IT IN THE WILD.

  2. Hi,

    IS THE DUCKLING ABANDONED?

Call a wildlife organization in your area. If you don't have any kind of wildlife protection organization take the duckling to the veterinarian. Put some thick gloves on and try to lead him in some kind of a box. Put a clean, soft blanket and some shredded paper towel at the bottom of the box. Make sure that the blanket doesn't have a strong odor of detergent because it could make the duckling have difficult breathing. Take a deep dish and put it in the box, fill the dish with water. You can take another dish and put some small pieces of boiled eggs, cheese, and/or high protein baby food.

Don't keep the duckling as a pet but try to care for it until you can get it help.

  3. Call a rehabber or wildlife center in your area. If you don't know how to find their number, call some local vets and ask around. It is a felony crime to take a wild duck from the wild and keep it as a pet. So you really don't need to keep it yourself.

  4. call the wildlife resource office

  5. you should probably put it out of its misery... I mean I know that would be really rude.. but you dont want it suffering.. and if you take it to the vet.. they will prolly put it to sleep.. so save ur money.. can just kill it yourself.. it deserves to be in a good place!
