If you're asking about what to do with the children, I have no idea. If that's not it, I'd start by going to a Turkish Consulate and ask if you need any special kind of documentation to be a legal alien working in their country. You don't say where you live. I would contact your government and see what you need to legally leave and re-enter your country.

The idea about a plan B in case it doesn't work out is a good one.

Also, do you speak the language? If you don't now, you will by necessity learn it.

Be ready for some culture shock. Turkey is a Muslim country. How strict they will be with you, provided you are not Muslim, I don't know. I'd ask before I left.
