Im a animal lover so I put some gloves on and got a shoe box and put it inside. I put a towel in the show box so it can be comfortable. I don't know what to do with it. Its a grey bird. I see these kinds of birds in my aparmtents a lot. I do not know what they eat. My mom doesn't want anything to do with it but I don't want to let it die. Its just a baby! Do they eat bread? It can't fly and it can hardly move. What do I do?

  1. U did  a pretty good job on to handle the situation and take the bird  to a vet

  2. Are you sure it is actually injured or just a baby bird that has not yet learned to fly?  If injured, it needs to go to a wildlife rehab. Otherwise follow these instructions:

This bird is a fledgling and has left the nest on it's own and it's parents are caring for it. It is normal for birds to leave the nest before they can fly. You need to replace it where you found it..preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and the parents should come back to feed it. Do not worry about your scent being on the chick..birds have a very poorly developed sense of smell and will NOT reject a baby that has been touched. You can watch from afar continually to see if it's parents are tending to it. If you are too close, they will not come as you would be considered a predator. Also, keep in mind, it is illegal for you to try and raise this bird on your own. If for some reason you see NO signs of the parents at all after a couple hours, think about getting the bird to a local wildlife rehab. Look for a rehab here:

  3. Crumbs... dripping water from your finger...

  4. its done for u arnt gonna be able to save it

unless u plan to keep it for a long time in which case itll proboley die anyway

just give it some bread and see but its a lost cause i think

  5. Baby birds that can't fly and/or barely move, can't eat bread. It too big unless you chunk it to very very tiny of pieces. Wild birds normally feed their young ones worms, but of course it goes in the moms mouth first to make it mushie and soft. So if you could, you should take some worms and mosh them up. If your scared to touch worms (like i am) than take a rock and smash it. Otherwise if you think your doing anything wrong, take it to the vet. Hope this helps and hope the baby bird will survive.

Btw its nice of you to help a baby bird out. Though if she dies, don't blam yourself, there's not much you can do. Only mom knows best.
