I found all these websites on all the historic old hospitals abd asylums that are left to rot?

and be vandalised. How come many of these buildings still have patient's art and furniture and have just been left? Doesn't England care about its history? I was sad to look through all the old buildings that have so much history. Whats your views

Nice way to promote your forum, but I'd say there's no definitive answer to your question. And it's not just in the UK that this happens. There are old hospitals all over the US that were abandoned for various reasons - two of which would be funding and also a change in care.
