I found an egg and need help

i found what i think is an egg in my yard today its very small, round and white i think its a lizard egg i picked it up and did my best not to turn it and i put it in a dish and half buried in the dirt what can i do to make sure it hatches? and is there any way to find out what might be in it? i can post pictures if needed. thanks

If it was laying out in the yard by itself, it is probably not going to make it. Reptile eggs need to be buried so they can stay the same temp and humidity all the time.

do you have a local herp shot you can take it to I would do that

Its def a lizard egg, although if not buried in the dirt it will probably not hatch.
