On this bell the words chiantel fondeur are on the front and 1887 i think then saicnelecier do you know what this means ??

    Seriously, you're going to want to take it to an auction house to get it appraised. The French on that bell is very telling.

    However, it doesn't have a lot to do with folklore or mythology, so you might want to post this question in a more appropriate forum.

  3. Saingnelegier is in Switzerland, and Chiantel was the company that made the bell's cast, probably in the late 1800s.

    Get it appraised... and take care of it, it is an antique.
