I found an old coin and I need help?

Question

On the front of the coin there is a person with a crown and long hair...it also says Elizabeth around the edge. The back looks like a shield with four little parts...any help would be appreciated.

Old European coins are pretty much worthless unless it is really old, this one sounds not enough.  If it is an early American coin then you got something.  Oh it might be silver though.
