I was watching my dad change my oil when I noticed a decal under my hood. It was a Ford sticker and said "authorized modification" and had the code YU7A-12A650-AMC. It is 2000 Ford Taurus. I have tried searching the web with no luck. Any idea what modifications may have been done?

  1. There may have had a recall on a part for that year of taurus, and the sticker is showing that the recll has been repaired.

  2. There was a procedure done under a factory campaign to correct a problem such as a fuel calibration.  A Ford dealer should be able to decode it but it really isn't worth the trouble of finding out.  The information would only be useful to a technician that is working on the car.
