I found an unmarked oblong hot pink pill in my boyfriends drawer. Can anyone tell me what it might be?

It could be anything...could be xanax, could be opiod pain pill, could be oral contraceptive that someone left....it's hard to say...

My advice is to if you still have that, take it to a local pharmacy and ask them if you can identify the pill.  Usually there is a universal book called the "Phamacology Drug Reference" or PDR that all doctors and pharmacists use, and in the front there are pictures and corresponding names of all the pills.  (Even if you don't have the pill with you, you can probably identify it from memory since it's unique and hot pink.)

If the pharmacists ask you why do you want to know, tell them the truth that you are concerned b/c you found it in your boyfriend's drawer and want to make sure it is not any addicting drug of abuse such as xanax or pain pills.  Now if they still give you hard time, go to your local library (preferably a medical library if you can), and ask for this book, and do the research yourself.

Sounds like Generic Darvocet. There are plenty of ID sites for identifying rescription drugs.

Could be pain pill, or an herbal supplement of some sort.  Here is what you do.  Say it to him like this.  "  I saw the Viagra pill in your drawer"  He will get defensive and say one of two things, first " no it's not" then you ask what it is.  Or he will say ya it is and you ask why does he need it.

Just come out and let him know you saw it.

Probably not an accurate way to describe it.  If it is completely unmarked, most likely it is an over the counter supplement, and not a prescription drug.  Given the circumstances of your discovery, it could possibly be an abusable substance.  In this case, your boyfriend's lifestyle would be a good place to start searching.  For instance, if he is one for intoxicating substances, it could be Darvocet.  If he's a bodybuilder, it could be a water pill like Accuretic.  Most likely, given that it is hot pink and unmarked, my guess would be an over-the-counter energy pill.  Below is a link where you can search by pictures.  Hope this helps.
