  1. I would say exactly what your doing.  A few winters back we had a major mouse problem in our garage we caught 22 mice and now there are no signs of mice whatsoever.

  2. If you have caught a male and a female you have already dealt with the matter.

  3. Call the local council pest control department and get them to come out, they can give you stuff to help irradicate the mice plus useful advice,They charge once (about £40) but will come out more if you need them.

  4. If you have caught two mice in two traps, you can assume that you have a lot of mice running about.

Keep putting the traps down, they are obviously effective. Try to find what the mice are eating, pet food, dropped crumbs, bread etc and clear it away or put it in tins so that the mice have nothing to attract them. Put bait (poison) down wherever you find evidence of feeding (droppings) but not where pets can get at it.

Look for any holes where they may be getting in and seal them up (after putting poison inside). When you have found no evidence of mice for twelve weeks you can be reasonably certain that you have eradicated the problem.
