I found moth/insect/butterfly wings and i want to know what they came from?

Question

the wings are clear as can be but there are the scales on them so its not just the skeloton, we have a bug zapper if that makes any difference and it was found on out living room floor, the cat brought it in. we live our in the middle of the woods in maine

can anyone tell me what this insect is?!

any additional information needed just ask and i will provide

Try searching "clearwing moths" and see if you can find pictures of similar wings.  Some clearwing moths are quite large, often mistaken for hummingbirds; others are smaller and they can look similar to wasps.  Many do have some black markings and scales on parts of the wings.  Tell kitty to bring you the whole thing (alive) next time!
