they say void unless exchanged for full share prior to January 25, 1935. Are they worth anything other than momentos from my Granny?

  1. call your stock broker they can research it for you.  or go on line and search yourself under transamerica.  contact them

  2. Well if it says null & void after 1/25/35, then that is probably the case.  But transamerica is still around, why not contact them??  I would try investor relations.

  3. In all probability the certificate has been voided, or you may have a fractional share that did expire, but for your own peace of mind do some research.

If you have a broker, have them check the status of the certificate, you will have to give them the issuance date, the par value and the certificate number. Or at the very least have them give you the name and address of the transfer agent,

On the front of the certificate you find the name of the transfer agent, you can contact them.  They may not be the current agent but they will be able to give you the current agent.  It would be a big help if you had your Granny's social security number.

If you are going to contact the company, which is usually a waste of time, but you should contact the shareholder services department.

They could at least provide you with their current transfer agent if they can not identify Granny's identification

Good luck, at the worst, go the arts supply store and buy a nice picture frame.
