I found out about a 17yr old warrant from an old empoyer?

cause of warrant is a receipt that was mis-placed by a dispatcher. the warrant is non-extriding. how can i handle this without going to south carolina? can i contact a DA or PUBLIC DEFENDER, or ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE?

Talk with your local D.A.'s office..by phone or go to a free legal services office and ask advice. If you are a nice guy...make sure you donate to the service...it will help the next guy! Tagger

Contact a private attorney and pay small fee for an opinion letter.  If the act on which the warrant was issued is a misdemeanor.  If so, I am confident that the offense is not the subject of an extradition.   There are expenses assoicated with an extradition proceeding.   Check with a pulbic defender if you dont have the funds.  If possible, I would hire a private attorney.  Public defenders are, generally, not the most compentent legal counsel.   Just above representing yourself in a legal matter.  Something that you should never do.
