I found out im pregnant but i don't have health insurance. how do i get medi-cal?

i dont know the process of applying and if they will accept me since im pregnant. i need to get health care insurance ASAP but dont know how. HELP!

Go to your local hospital and ask to speak with their Medi-Cal liason.  It is much easier going through them than going to the county office.  They can streamline the process and you don't have to sit & wait and wait and wait.

You should apply with your local Department of human services office to get medicade coverage with them. I know in the state of oregon you qualify if you are pregnant no matter what. They will want proof of pregnancy, so go down to plan parenthood they do free pregnancy tests there and have them do a pregnancy test, they will give you a slip of paper with a positive reading on it.. Just take that with you when you apply!!
