I found out my daughter has a sister?

Ok so my ex is a total dead beat. My daughter is 5, and he hasnt seen her since she was 5 months old, so halloween will be 5 years. I found out after my daughter was born that he has a daughter only a few months older than mine, and now today found out he has a one and a half year old. To my knowlage he doesnt see either of them either. I am really upset about this, but my husband doesnt understand (he has been in my daughters life since she was 4 months old). I feel overwhelmed with sadness...

So what exactly is your question?  Do you feel sad for the children?  I think he sounds like a loser, but there's nothing much you can do about it.

Is the question should you let your daughter know her sister?

Because if it is I think she should know her sister, I guess it all just depends on how your daughter's sister's mother feels towards all of this..

It is sad that all thes children have a biological dad who seems to be an a**s face. Luckily in your case your husband took over as father (i am assuming)...

I guess you can't be upset because of your ex's actions, but if you want your daughter to know her siblings I guess it will be up to you, and their moms...

it only natural that you feel that way, because she realize that he made another child while yall was together. but dont woory yourself you have a husband that im sure loves you little girl. your blessed maybe its best he not in your life

dont worry about it. long as ur daughter has a father figure in her life, those other kids r out of ur control..

This happend to my sister.. she didnt know that her daughter has a sister until she was 5. They both were 5 and went to school together and were FRIENDS!!! My neice is now 10 and has been bestfriends w/ her sister ever since she found out here best freind is her sister..( wouldnt that be cool) but anywho.. my sister is freinds w/ the other girl.. and her husband was a dead beat to.. but the other girl didnt know that he was married. ( it was a one time thing) so I would either just move on.. or I would talk to the other mother,... Im sure shes feeling the same way. GL!!!
