I found out that another postdoc presented my data without my permission in a meeting. what should I do?

She might get permission from the boss. I am still pissed off by this.

  1. If they are stealing your data, make sure they do not have access to your lab notebook.  You should talk to them, and they should admit to the P.I. that they have taken your data.  If they will not, then you go up the ladder.  First to the PI.  If that doesn't work, then to the department head, and so on.  Of course, they should be giving you credit for your work, and the data is ultimately owned by the university.  So if your are working on the same project, then the PI probably would expect all the data to be presented that you both produced.  You could always present at the next meeting.
