Out of nowhere, 3 big mushroom/fungi appeared on my front lawn in the mulch by the bushes under the roof. They are slightly bigger than portobello, with yellowish scaly looking caps that are pretty flat in shape. Are they poisonous? If I just pull them out would they grow back? Do I need to get any chemicals to treat that area?

  1. They're poison, don't eat em. p**s on em and see if they go away.

  2. i don't know whether they re poisonous, but i know or sure they won't go away if u just pull them out - mushrooms have extremely deep and long roots, and they re very thin and u can't see them, so it is impossible to beat mushrooms. but u can regularly cut them with loan mover. fungicide wouldn't help - remember, roots re very deep and large

  3. I need more than your description to say if they are poisonous.  If you don't know your wild mushrooms treat them like they are all poison.  If you want to get rid of them you can pull them up.  When growing conditions are right new mushrooms might show up in the same place.  You could spray a fungicide on the ground but I wouldn't bother.  They aren't doing any harm.
