    Hello

    The strange characters could be due to a font not installed on your computer.  The best thing to do is go to http://download.yahoo.com/ and it will detect if you have the latest version of the Yahoo! softwares you've previously installed.  If the characters are the result of a malicous program, you should update your computer's Antivirus and AntiSpyware protection, to detect and clean.
