I found this very beautiful necklace on sale what technique do you think she used to make it is it wire wrap?

  1. if you read the description she posted with the listing she tells you it is wirewrap and that she used sterling silver wire and then oxidized it.  

    It is her origional design so you won't find a pattern or directions for it.

    It is also a fairly advanced piece so you would need a lot of practice to attempt to copy it.

    I bet if you contacted the artist she would be willing to help point you in the right direction on where to start learning

    If you wanted to make one like it I would try looking at the patterns from Fire mountain or Aunties beads.

  3. It is wire wrap art.  I can't tell the wire guage but it looks to be round and probably half hard silver that has been oxidized, probably with liver sulfate.

    Gorgeous necklace too.  I agree with the former poster, get some books to learn how.  There's free tutorials on the internet too.

  5. It looks to me like she soldered the little loops.

    But you could try a knock off by just looping it around the main wire. I just recently got some black wire in a craft store.
