I found this weird bug on my window. Any idea what it is?

Question

I live in central Indiana, not far from Indianapolis. I've lived here for a while, and I've never seen a bug like this.

Here is a picture of it.

Unfortunately, I was too chicken to go outside and get a top view of it, so this is the bottom view. 8D

Looks like some form of Assassin beetle... Hard to tell from this angle though....

it looks like a bettle we have here in tennessee, i don't kno the scientific name for it, around here we call it a stink bug.

It looks like an assassin bug, which is a kind of beetle.  Do not pick it up with your bare hands, these can inflict a painful bite.

I spent my summers near Indianapolis growing up and I have never seen anything like that!  The only freaky thing I ever saw while there was a stag beetle, but that thing doesn't have giant horn looking things.  Ewww, thanks now my skin is crawling and I'm jumpy! lol.
