ok my dad was mowing the lawn and when he had raked up the grass i was playing with my sistera nd a little dog we threw a ball for the dow but when it got to the grass pile it stopped and sniffed around and it looked as if it had found something so i went to check it out it had found a small baby mouse it was aroun about 14 days old as its eyes were just open but only slightly.i picked it up it was very small and it had a bleeding nose i relised it had slim chance of its mum finding it even if the mum did find it it might not take it back with my scent. later i found another two in different places of the garden they were luckly unharmed (i found these two looking for the first ones mum) they are all from the same nest as the all all the same age i put the in a cotton wool bed and i am feeding the with a siringe every 2 hours with full fat milk and i am soaking breadcrusts in milk for them too i am aware that kitten milk is better i have been up all night wiht them so when the shops open i wil get some kittn milk the one with the bleeding nose should i put aniseptic on a clothe and put it on the cut or just keep cleaning it? also the feel quite cold and i feel if i dont get them warm they will die what can i do to help this and what can i do in general ?

please please help me!

p.s. i dont want to set them free as they will die on there own but when there older( if they make it) i wil take them to a wildlife center as i dont want to set them free when there older as i am afraid that if i do hand raise hem they wont beable to fend for themselfs in the wild p.s.a.im 13 and had only some money about 10 pounds, thanks kim.

  1. To warm them up you need to put a lamp by them.  A light bulb should keep them warm.  The milk is a good ideal. the one with the bleeding nose might not make it but just keep cleaning it.   are you warming the milk a little that might help warm them up as well. but don't make it to hot.  to hot could make them sick.  just a little warmer than your skin.  good luck hope this helps

  2. Well, make sure there is a nice blanket/towel for them to crawl under. The cat's milk is a good idea. You may want a lamp to shine on them periodically, but not too much since they may not like the night. If you nurse them to full health, and adulthood, it's unlikely they will be able to return to the wild, even a  preserve. To keep warm, most mice will all get in a pile, but with only three, it's hard to say whether they can make enough heat on their own. At for the bloody nose, it's best to keep cleaning it GENTLY, as any cream could be unhealthy for him. Good luck!

  3. well, definatly take them to a vet as soon as possible!

i would say keep them in a cage (whatever you have) and give them like slightly warm water and grass or something (just some substance for them to eat).

The question you should ask is "what do mice/baby mice eat?"

good luck...it's nice of you to do this.

  4. I'm not sure about mice and rats but I once had a two hamsters and they got into a fight. One of the hamster got injured at the ear and my mum put antiseptic. But probably you should bring it to the vet because my mum would never allow me to bring any pets that I own to the vet to save money. So I would always do what I can to save my pets. Maybe you can make the rodent a nest with lots of tissue paper. Try to put the nest in a warm place so that the rodent won't die. You can try feeding the rodent hamster food or milk. I'm not sure whether my mum cleaned the wound but I don't think she did. She placed the antiseptic on a cotton bud and put it on the cut.

    Hope this helps :).
