I gain alot of weight with the depo shot.?

Question

Did any1 gain weight with the birth control depo shot?wen i took the depo my doctor warn me about the side effects of the depo 1 of them was weight gain. i got it 3 times and it made me gain so much weight i took it 2 1/2 ago and it has been so hard for me loose it and get pregnant.

i was on the depo yearsss ago , but i gain 20 lbs in a year

my one friend gaines 30,i got off and it took a while to lose, keep positive it mostly water retaining

ya i took it just once and gained 10 lbs. definitely not doing that again. still trying to lose weight now.

  I know what you mean.A few years ago I also took the shot. I was on it for 9 months and gain 20lbs.A year and a half after getting off the shot I still couldn't lose the weight. I tried very hard to lose it and I just couldn't lose it. Then in two months I went from 135lbs to 117lbs without even trying. the weight just fell off. It takes forever but the weight will come off. Good luck on getting pregnant and the weigh loss.

OMG! Yes, I tell everyone thinking about getting on it to not!!!!!

I gained 50 ilbs in 2 months on the depo shot! And i still am having issues getting it all off!

When i started it 5 yrs. ago i weighed 105ilbs. Two months later i shot up to 155ilbs. And i am fairly short so it was really bad! Also i gained it so quick that i know have stretch marks all over the inside of my thighs, my lower hips and my stomach! It is bull c**p!

It also pisses me off because my doctor never told me i would gain any weight on it, nor did any of my papers say i would! Needless to say she is no longer my dr.

But i too am TTC, so it pisses me off because it's harder when your not at your ideal weight!
