I have to go back to school tomorrow and I'm really nervous. I feel like such a failure for gaining weight over the summer. How can I get over my looks and be happy? When I walk in the room I feel like everyone is staring at me and talking about me.

  1. I know how you feel, i mean, i've never been the skinniest person, and i've never been the "obese" person either, i'm always somewhere in the middle, i have "junk in the trunk" and "child bearing hips" i've never once considered having kids, i'm totally afraid of ruining what shape a sort of have.

that's not the point. the point is you have to be able to love yourself before you can accept other people. And knowing that people might be talking about you is awful but it's a shame that they have so many insecurities that they have to point yours out. look at it this way, you must have something totally amazing about you, that they see it necessary to talk c**p.

surround yourself with people who appreciate you for who you are what things you're good at and what you aspire to be. You'll make it out.

this will make you stronger. i know it.

  2. Believe that you are a beautiful and special person, believe it with all your heart and soul because you ARE a beautiful and special person.

  3. We all go through ups and downs with our weight - that's nothing to be ashamed about. There are lots of bbqs and celebrations during the summer season, so weight gain can happen.

Start school with a fresh start attitude. It's a time to do well in school, time to eat right and exercise, time to be happy and point our your pluses. Just start anew.

Instead of focusing on the weight gain, pride yourself in getting good grades, being nice to others, volunteering, etc.

  4. I know exactly how you feel. The same thing has happened to me so i know exactly what you are going through.

The way I see it is. . .

Your friends are your friends for a reason, They will like you regardless of what you look like. They are the people you spend most of your time with, they matter the most.

It's best to be realistic. People may say things but (and I know this is the hardest thing ever) RISE above it. Maybe even agree and laugh. If you get upset in front of them, it makes you vulnerable to their attacks and they will continue to annoy you.

Thirdly, you are back at school, join a team, join the gym, join an after school activity, may help to lose those pounds (that's if you want too).

Most importantly if you are happy with yourself it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. You are you- you will always be you and there is nothing you or anyone will do to change that.

Don't ever frown in front of anybody else- you never know who is falling in love with your smile!!
