What amount would I end up with to write the check for? Just want to make sure about this.

  1. you have to pay from August  1st to the 13, make sure you schedule a walk-Truth so in case you have a security deposit you get you money back or you need to know if you have to make any repairs that way you cover you butt

  2. If you are in a month to month situation where rent is due on the 1st then you would owe for the entire month of August unless you can strike a deal with your landlord to pay for half the months rent whereby you would just divide the rent by 2

  3. A 30 days notice is 30 days forward from The date of notice.

You will pay rent from August 1st-12Th. Normally you divide the monthly amount by 30, but in this case both months have 31 days.

  4. Most states require that the notice include a full rental term/month. Notice on the 13th would go in effect on August 1st - the next full rental term.

You should probably ask your landlord. You may be on the hook for the full month of August.

  5. Aug 1st to the 13th.

    So it would be 350/31*13 = $146.77

But check you lease, some time you have to pay the full month. Meaning if you give notice on the 17 or the 30 or the 30th it the same as giving it on the 1st of the month.

  6. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

The lease (even month to month) runs from the first to the last day of the month.

If you gave notice on 7/13, it doesn't become effective until 8/1 and you owe the full month of August rent, even if you move out on 8/12.
