I get a Program Error..exe when I try to open Yahoo Messenger. I can not use this program, I have tried other

I have tried to download other Yahoo Messenger's like 6.0, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, and they are the same, the program will not run. I have written to microsoft, and they are to busy to write me back, Does any one know how to fix this problem ? Program ERROR..exe and it gos on the say windows, is shutting it down.

Uninstall, reboot, do virus and antispy scan, clean out all old files,reboot. reinstall

Does this happen with other programs? You may need to reinstall windows.
