  1. You have not set a homepage for your browser.

    SETTING A HOMEPAGE IN SAFARI-

    EDIT>PREFERENCES>GENERAL

    SETTING A HOMEPAGE IN IE7-

    SETTINGS>INTERNET OPTIONS>MAIN

    SETTING A HOMEPAGE IN FIREFOX

    SETTINGS>PREFERENCES(OR SETTINGS)>MAIN


  2. Because you do not have a home page. If you want one go to tools / internet options and at the first tab at the top you can define one.
