I get a different answer every time!?

Question

-I have an lcdtv-I rely on rabit ears-no cable,satelite,dish,etc.-I currently recieve HD channels-some are sketchey. DO I NEED A BOX!!!!!!!

you need a converter box ONLY if you use an antenna to receive tv signals.

Well NO....you don't need a box. If you presently get the HD channels you have EVERYTHING you already need !!

Except a good ROOFTOP ANTENNA for the best reception possible....

I mean, you DO want to get rid of the Sketchy channels, right?

Of course you do....Then go to Radio Shack and pick up the best one you can find, and the Radio Shack guy tells you to buy.....

GET DIRECTV= SATELIGHT. END OF ANY PROBLEMS

If you are already receiving HD channels ( they will probably be 4.1, 5.1, etc.) then your TV is already a digital TV and you do not need a convert box.  If the signals are weak then you might need a better antenna.

It sounds like your lcdtv has an ATSC tuner which is why you can get HD channels. If this is true then no you do not need any sort of box.  However if you want your HD channels to come in clearer you will probably need a better antenna than rabbit ears.
