  1. No, if it is only when reading,  then it is a sign that a person is reading incorrectly. Quite often a person is trying to diffuse their attention so that they can see a whole word, paragraph, or page all at the same time. Our vision works best when it is scanning in smaller and smaller details in a continuous connect the dot fashion, our brain than puts all these perfect details together into 'the big picture'. People also combine this with shallow breathing, squelched and unmoving posture, strained blinking, and resting their head on their hand.


  2. Yes. Could also just be eye strain if you read a lot. Might as well get yourself checked. Are you noticing that the words are blurry, too? You can try on reading glasses at your local drug store, as well.
