I get a sticky ball of discharge from my eye that blurs my vision bc of the stickiness until i remove it. It's

like the stickiness in your eye when you get pink eye but i don't have pink eye and it's just a little bit (just enough to annoy me ). Also, i wear contacts. This happens almost every day and its not just after i wake up from sleeping. Is this normal or should i tell my opthamologist on my next visit or what should i do? I have had this for many years.
