I get braces august 12 and i wanted to no how long i took o get them on with colors????

At the beginning, they first glue your braces on and put the wire on. Your brackets themselves will have different colors so that the orthodontist knows which bracket goes on which tooth. The "colors" that you see on braces are elastics. They bind the bracket to the wire. You can choose different colors, and as you go in for regular changing of the elastics, you can choose different colors. Changing the elastics literally takes maybe 10 minutes (they have to undo the elastics, take out the wire, shape the new wire, put it in, then put the new elastics).. the process of taking off and putting on the elastics themselves is probably like half a minute to a minute.. not long at all.

No they don't put them on as they go. They glue all of them on first then they let you choose the color and the put them on.

They glue the little metal square brackets on first and as you go, they change your wires took tighten and straighten your teeth.. to keep the wires in.. they use the little elastic loops that keep the wires in the little notch in the metal bracket. The elastic loops are the part that is colored.. these are changed every time you visit.

i guess it took like an hour maybee to do it all, and then they talk to you about all the stuff u need to do.

It only takes half an hour at the most. My orthodontists first put on the bracket (the tiny squares they glue to your teeth) and then waited a week, then put the wire and elastics on, then you get to choose. My ortho has tons of colours, but you can only have two different colours on at a time, but one girl at my school had a different colour for every tooth.

It takes a maximum of two minutes for the colors to go on. They will change every visit.

it doesnt take anymore time. they but grey bands on there anyways unless you pic colors
