Question:

I get cramps a lot....?

I seem to get cramps whenever I run, and at gym we ran a mile yesterday and I had a cramp like the whole time in my stomach. I felt like I was going to throw up because it hurt, and that's how my body reacts when I get a stomach ache or something like that, I just feel like my stomach is twisting and it is so weird.

Could I be dehydrated or something?

  1. Yes, you are probably dehydrated. Don't worry. This problem is easy to fix, as I used to have a severe form of this problem. Here are some strategies to help you avoid or lessen cramps (and trust me, they work in the first try!)

    1. keep a good posture. If you are slouching, you are squishing your lungs and your muscles together, resulting in a cramp. (This is commonly associated with stomach cramps)

    2. Drink more water. Water always seems to fix everything :P

    3. Make sure that your shoulders are relaxed at all times. I used to have irregular shoulder positions when i ran and when i was notified of this, and I corrected the problem, I had instant results. (This is associated with shoulder cramps.)

    4. Also, breath in with your nose, out with your mouth. and make sure that you expell alot of it back out.

    good luck!

  2. i get cramps more often than i feel is normal too. im sorry to say i dont have an answer either, i heard its from lack of air and that putting your hands behind your head helps but other than that i dont know. hope this helps

  3. well it could be alot of reasons while your runnnin breath in through your nose and out your mouth thats suppode to help. also cut back on soda and energy drinks etc. when you drink water it helps hydrate you. and the more you drink the water the better you will be,
